Tips for translationSupported file formats for translation

We always strive to deliver the very best translation service and in order to do this there are a few things we need you to be aware of, so that your translation is returned to you as quickly as possible:

Quality of the source material

We will translate your document exactly as it was sent to us. This means that any errors in the source document will be replicated in the translated document. To ensure you get the very best for your money the quality of the source document needs to be good enough and has, at least, been proofread and run through a basic spell check.

Incorrect file naming
We will not be able to translate files that have been saved in the incorrect format. For example .RTF files given a .DOC extension. It will open in MS word but other tools will have issues with the file.

Embedded files
Occasionally files will contain elements from another file type. For example an excel file which contains the content of a website in HTML. Is this an HTML file or an Excel file? Unfortunately we cannot accept these types of files.

Embedded images
Images are frequently used that contain text. This text is invariably referred to in the body of the text. Even though the images contains words these words will not be translated as they are simply seen as images. If you need to contents of an image translating, please include type the text into a word document and send it to us.

Embedded objects
This is a feature of MS products, where a reference is created to another MS file; typically to provide access to a graph or diagram created in Excel. Any material included in the referenced document will not be included in any initial file count. The material in the referenced file will be treated as embedded graphics. The desktop publishing aspect is much more difficult as the image is embedded in the file.
